After reading those comments , even from people who have never sat in an easykart , i was a little puzzled.... So i talked to joffrey this morning and ..... No change for steering wheels, pipes , seats.. the only change are the tires. Now that Joffrey has agreed with all of us , let's make it a successful event because easykart needs it. This is going to be the cheapest grand national ever , so please stop complaining and start enjoying what you are doing. Karting is supposed to be fun..

That's great news! On behalf of the Easykart family, I would like to thank both Joffrey and JC for reaching these decisions. Hope to see everyone in September. I wonder if we can talk Joffrey into running the track backward, or a figure 8, or ........

That is great news....we will do everything to at least get Dezso to the GN! I have changed my vote. I still think we need clarity on a number of rules but we'll save that for another thread.

Thanks JC. We all appreciate your stepping in. Count me in for attendance. These issues needed to be put to bed quickly and correctly and you have acomplished both! There is no excuse for not coming to the Grand National now. Great track, great friends... Let's go Racin'

You heard it here first folks, no new pipes (FYI they are $138.00 retail from Easykart....available at the event), you can keep your seats and steering wheels. Tires (Vega Whites) and oil will be provided by Easykart Florida as part of the registration cost I assume.
We should be getting an update on the rule set early next week. We'll let you know when we do.
Now get to voting and let us know who's coming ;D

Hey JC, Joffrey,Karl, the one thing not mentioned is the new rear bumper system. Is it, or is it not, required?

I think the new full size rear bumper should be required, it's a safety issue that the entire karting industry has basically backed. The FKCS requires it, I don't think we should have some karts with and some without them.

The rear bumper is mandatory at MKMC and we like it....

Rich, if you check the international rules on the EK Florida website it does specify the new rear bumpers are required. I personally don't like them but it should make things safer.

I realize what the EK rules say, but like many of the other "new" rules, they have been slow in requiring conformance. I don't have a problem using the new bumper, as hopefully, it will keep me from getting run over from behind. (That happens when you are slow), The down side is most of the guys running it say it won't let your chassis flex as much as the old metal setup and it will affect your handling. These are the kinds of things Easykart should enforce...Safety items, not whether you have an Easykart stamp on your exhaust or not, and that is exactly what is happening. Good job Easykart!
