The following rules have been updated for 2008.

5.0 Spec Equipment
Karts eligible for competition will be Easykart models 50cc, 60cc, 100cc and 125cc imported into the Americas by Easykart Americas. Karts and engines must carry the latest version Easykart Americas engine seal and must be registered with Easykart Americas via the EASYCARD. Only that chassis and motor combination listed on the EASYCARD is legal for Easykart competition. Any deviation from this combination must be approved by the Tech Director (as outlined in this rule book) and that information must be updated with Easykart Americas within 5 days. Competitors will be required to have EASYCARD present at all Easykart events,starting Mar 15th 2008. All Karts must carry the Easykart logo on the front nose or driver panel and on both side pods, this is a tech item.
6.3 Body work may be replaced with any color Freeline body work or otherwise specified here. All body work must be mounted on unaltered Easykart or Freeline support bars. The bodywork must be mounted onto the original unaltered mounting points on the chassis. Older model karts that were originally fitted with the Freeline CIK99 bodywork may use the KG Unico bodywork. For the 50cc kart, KG Baby bodywork is allowed.
6.16 Maximum rear width (measured from outer edges of rear wheels and tires) is 44 inches for the 60cc karts and 55 inches for 100cc and 125cc karts.
10.0 License
All drivers must be licensed by Easykart Americas to be eligible for points, prizes, and trophies. The official license is the EASYCARD. The EASYCARD will contain the following information: License #, Driver Name, date of birth, class, chassis #, engine #. Birth certificate and prior racing experience or approved driving school may be required at any time even if the person is already licensed. All competitors under the age of 18 must submit a notarized copy of Birth Certificate or Passport with license application.
11.0 Weight
50cc 155 lbs (with driver and all safety gear) (local option may prevail depending on sizes of drivers)
60cc 245 lbs. (with driver and all safety gear)
100cc 310 lbs. (with driver and all safety gear)
125cc Light 335 lbs. (with driver and all safety gear).
125cc Heavy 370 lbs. (with driver and all safety gear). Drivers 34 years old and younger must weigh a minimum of 180 lbs. including racing apparel and all safety gear to compete in Heavy Class.
125cc Shifter 400 lbs (with driver and all safety gear)
12.0 Engines
Engines will be sealed by Easykart Americas or any of it's Authorized Service Centers. Easykart Americas or it's Authorized Service Centers will carry out all repairs and engines will be re-sealed. If an engine is presented with a missing or broken seal and that seal was not broken by a representative of Easykart Americas or Tech Director at an Easykart event, then the competitor or entrant must pay $250 to Easykart Americas for the cost to inspect the motor and assure compliance of the motor. The engine cannot be raced or run until it has been inspected and re-sealed. No modification allowed to the engine. For illustration purposes, no component may be removed, added, altered, or moved. All engine castings must be as per factory specifications. No modification, alterations, or adjustments are allowed to the engine timing components. A competitor may request additional clarification and tech from IAME Spa for any engine related items. A $1000 bond will be posted to Easykart Americas for each item to be sent to IAME Spa. This will be used to cover all expenses to fulfill this request. If the part is deemed illegal, then Easykart Americas will retain the part and also the $1000 bond. The part(s) and/or component(s) found to be illegal will be considered forfeited to Easykart Americas and all rights or claims for such item(s) will be null and void. If the item is found legal then the part and the $1000 bond will be returned to the competitor.
The only legal reeds for competition are the non-carbon fiber .30mm with the IAME name printed at the base. The corresponding Easykart part number is #11840.
Spark plug must be Freeline model Brisk #L10SL or NGK BR10EG. The Spark plug boot and connector must be OEM Easykart. The spark plug sealing washer must remain in place unless a cylinder head temperature sensor is added under the spark plug.
Clutch and clutch components must remain stock. No blueprinting, machining or modifications allowed.
Carburetor, airbox, carburetor gaskets and intake pieces must remain stock. No modification allowed. The two small air box cover grids may be removed. Nothing may be added or removed or altered inside the air box. The orientation of the rubber inlet adaptor for the airbox is non-tech. Carburetor and intake passages and gaskets must be completely stock, no polishing or matching allowed. All carburetor surfaces must be as cast. All internal carburetor passages must be original. Only an original gasket must be used, multiple gaskets prohibited. No component may be removed, added or altered. The cover over the carburetor low speed needle must be fitted during qualifying and racing. No modification to the jet or the low speed needle is allowed. No tool or device may be fitted to make adjustments to the carburetor and/or it's components while operating the kart. Carburetor Pop-off valve springs may be replaced with any spring as long as it fits in its original position with no modifications required to any other component. The fulcrum arm lever may be adjusted to allow for adjustments to the pop-off pressure. Maximum pop-off pressure is 12 psi. The swivel head for attaching the throttle cable may be replaced. The fuel strainer cover may be replaced with a plastic type of same size. For purposes of cleaning and maintenance, carburetor components may be removed, cleaned and re-installed as per original placements. Use of compressed air for clearing fuel passages is recommended, use of sharp objects for cleaning may cause damage, illegality and improper operation of carburetor. No blueprinting, machining or modifications allowed to the carburetor or any of it's components. All components shall be OEM type. Fuel filter must be OEM Easykart part # 40.6653.00.

The position of the Main Check Valve (main nozzle) are:
HL 385A is .080" to .090" below metering floor
HL 384A or HL 384B is .000" to .010" below metering floor
Only the following carburetor rebuild kits are allowed: RK114HL and RK117HL
These kits contains components that can be legally replaced in the above listed carburetors.
The following pump diaphragms found in these kits are allowed part # 237-214 of thickness .0025" to .0035" and part # 237-141 of thickness .0045" to .0060", so the allowable range will be from minimum .0025" to maximum .0060"
Only the following carburetor jets will be allowed:
Easykart 60cc: .71, .72, .73, .74, .75, .76, .77
Easykart 100cc: .83, .84, .85, .86, .87
Easykart 125cc: .85, .86, .87, .88
For the purpose of verifying these jet sizes, a Deltronic Pin will be used. For determining the legality of the smallest jet size will be a Deltronic Pin that is .0025mm smaller than the smallest jet. For determining the legality of the largest jet size will be a Deltronic Pin that is .0025mm larger than the largest jet. These will be the only TWO tools for each class that will be used by the Tech Director. This will be the minimum and maximum sizing. Once the jet sizing is between these two limits the jet will be considered legal for that class. The stamped number on the jet is non-tech. The jet tech tool of the Tech Director will be the official tech tool and will not be subjected to appeal. It is the competitor's responsibility to ensure that the jet size is legal.
For the Easykart Shifter, carburetor is Dellorto VHSH 30CS, the main jet is non-tech, the needle is U7 and the Emulsion Tubes are DP262, DP263, DP264 or DP265, and floats are #126301 weight 9 grams.
Pipe, header, and flex must remain stock. No modifications allowed. No component may be removed, added, altered, or moved. No coatings or treatments of any kind is allowed on any exhaust component. Flex pipe length is non-tech. Sealer may be applied to the flex. The fiber strip may be removed. Only one OEM exhaust gasket must be used.
12.2 Fuel & Oil: Fuel will be commercially available 93 octane pump fuel with Burris Castor Oil. Track owner or event organizer may determine a Fuel Station in close proximity to the track from which the fuel can be purchased and that will become the spec fuel for that event.
Monticello Karting Exception: Monticello Karting will continue to spec Sunoco 110 available at the track with Burris Castor oil.
